Chorus looked at everyone present then sighed. "Pink, you will be acting second XO. Telarnis, chief of intelligence. Major... I want the marines ready for whatever comes. lieutenant Lei, you are acting chief engineering officer till we find a replacement... We must find those slaveships... and get our crew back."
Pink nodded, and telepathically said to all present: ~"Yes commodore, I am ready."~
"Good, Sam... did you not forsee this?" Chorus asked as he looked at Captain Odwin.
"If I did sonny... do you think I would not have given warning. They have my great-great-grandchild." Sam replied.
Chorus nodded. "Anyone any questions?"
Finn got to her feet, her expression grim as she realised the heavy responsibility now on her young shoulders. But there was no time to debate her abilities. A job needed doing and she was the only one in her department who had the skills to fill the void. "No questions Commadore."
"Just remain seated lieutenant, we will need to discuss this so we don't make mistakes." Chorus pointed out.
~"We must repair the hull, and boost the sensors. And then go to the closest pirate ship."~ Pink telepathically said to everyone.
"Sir if I may speak. I realize that I am not in command of the Marines but it is my opinion that some of the Marines are in shambles and one in particular is not fit for duty and should be suspended for the time being. As the Marines are at the present they wont be able to be effective. Nor will I with my arm how it is." K said somberly.
Rose smiled at situation and the Commodore silently knowing whats to come. "K, I think its best you take your squard and take a good rest. And whom is this marine is unfit for duty?" her lips responsed to K's words.
"Ma'am it is Private John McGee. He abandoned the squad while they were in a crisis. Lieutenant Shiantz and Lieutenant Diom can vouch to this." K said. "And thank you ma'am."
"Yes I can vouch. He came and found me." Tus said with a look of disproval on his face.
"Normally marines get shot for that on my homeplanet." Chorus said as if it were the most natural thing to do.
"Unfortunately that is not how the Marines and Starfleet does it. What customarily happens is a trial to see if the Marine is still fit to be a Marine. In a sense it is a court marshal." K said.
"I agree Commodore, I am shocked my marines didnt shot them on the mission. But, now like Sgt K states this is a matter of a trail and eventually court marshal." Rose said agreeing with them both.
"He departed with a body as coverage and I was fighting to give the Marines time to get back to a more secure ground." K said.
"K, please bring all the information at the trail when you are called in." Rose said getting ingored. "We must act as superior officers and do this is in an orderly fashion."
"Aye, aye ma'am. I will begin getting it together once this meeting is over." K said.
"Thank you." Rose said to K before turning everyone's attention back to the Commodore.
"Engineering, work on the sensors first. I will take the ship out damaged... to find our crewmembers if need be. tactical, get sensors ready... take power from other systems if needed. And Rose, I want you to assist with engineering. Take charge where needed, and get me sensors and most of the hull prepared. K, select as many marines as we can miss to help the engineers." Chorus said. "Kiara and Jack... this was a traumatic encounter... prepare for wounded."
"Yes Commodore." Rose said alarmed thinking how well shall see be a duty she was removed from, beacuse she was no good at it.
"Aye, aye sir." K said listing names in his head.
"I will see what can be done sir." Tusankate said.
"Okay, any questions?" Chorus asked.
"I have none." K said.
"Dismissed, and inform your subordinates." Chorus said
"Yes Commodore" Rose said before leaving the meeting.
